The Family Behind River Bend Labs

River Bend Labs grew out of a lifelong love of Labrador Retrievers and an appreciation for the place a good dog holds in a family. Their companionship, intelligence, and enthusiasm for everyday life are what make raising Labs so rewarding.

As the family behind River Bend Labs, our dogs are part of our daily life. From trips to the river to quiet time at home, that time together means knowing each dog as an individual. Duke, Amber, Mary, and Nell each bring their own personality to River Bend, and that same personal attention carries into raising their puppies.

Care begins with the smallest details: helping a mother through delivery, checking that every puppy is nursing, tracking weight gain, and watching each little personality emerge. As the puppies grow, the focus expands to age-appropriate experiences and a thoughtful start before they join their new families. Our breeding dogs undergo Orivet DNA health screening to help guide informed breeding decisions.

We want your family to feel connected to your puppy well before pickup day. Photographs, videos, FaceTime visits, and regular updates let you follow that growth and ask questions along the way. When it is time to choose, River Bend Labs works with your family to discuss each puppy’s emerging temperament and help you make an informed choice.

The goal is personal: to raise well-cared-for Labradors and help families begin a lasting relationship with a dog they will love.
